 The club has a thriving junior section, with teams run for u9s, u11s, u13s, u15s and u17s.  Weekly practice sessions are held during the summer for all age groups and the teams are run by qualified, CRB checked coaches.  Training also takes place during the winter making full use of the excellent indoor facilities at Bawtry Road

 

In recent years the club has developed many strong club cricketers and the u15 side in 2010 was no exception, winning through to county final, losing narrowly to a big, strong York side. Five u15 lads who have played senior cricket for SUCC this season were part of the Sheffield Lord Taverners side that won the Yorkshire competition - shown below.

 

 

One of the u11s won their Sheffield League group whilst the other finished third in 2010.  The u17s won the prestigous Paramore Cup in 2008 and 2009 and are finalists in 2010.   Finally, the ECB Yorkshire Premier League side contains eight lads under the age of 19.  We look forward to that trend continuing.
